La actividad se desarroll\u00f3 en el Sal\u00f3n de los Espejos, de la Casa de las Culturas (Pasaje Papa Francisco -ex Rivadavia- 383, Quilmes), y cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de la intendenta interina, Eva Mieri, y su par de Niter\u00f3i (estado de R\u00edo de Janeiro, Brasil) y presidente de la Red Mercociudades, Rodrigo Neves. Tambi\u00e9n estuvieron presentes intendentes e intendentas de diversas localidades argentinas y latinoamericanas, que acompa\u00f1aron las distintas actividades de la jornada, que estuvo enmarcada en el 360\u00ba aniversario de la ciudad.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTenemos un contexto global con much\u00edsimos desaf\u00edos por delante, sobre todo para los gobiernos locales. Hablamos de crisis clim\u00e1tica, de insatisfacci\u00f3n democr\u00e1tica, de discursos de odio que pretenden romper los tejidos sociales en nuestros territorios. Este es un encuentro muy importante y provechoso, donde firmamos acuerdos internacionales con instituciones de cooperaci\u00f3n de todo el mundo\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ese marco, el presidente de Mercociudades se refiri\u00f3 a la visita que le realiz\u00f3 a la expresidenta Cristina Fern\u00e1ndez de Kirchner y sostuvo: \u201cManifestamos nuestra solidaridad y comprendemos que los procesos judiciales deben llevarse adelante con respeto al debido proceso legal para que la democracia sea respetada y garantizada en Argentina y en nuestro continente. Brasil y Argentina son dos pa\u00edses hermanos, y tienen una relaci\u00f3n comercial muy intensa. Somos grandes socios comerciales. Por lo tanto, no tenemos que buscar motivos para pelear ni para tener ning\u00fan tipo de agresi\u00f3n. Se realizaron diversos intercambios y acuerdos en materia pol\u00edtica, social, comercial y cultural. Posteriormente, se realizar\u00e1 una visita t\u00e9cnica al Complejo Ecoparque Quilmes (avenida Italia 487), seguida del evento de di\u00e1logo regional \u00abTerritorios de Cuidados: construyendo desarrollo sostenible con justicia social\u00bb, en el Teatro Municipal (Mitre 721).
