En Berazategui ya se realizaron 48 trasplantes gratuitos de c\u00f3rnea, a trav\u00e9s del Centro Oftalmol\u00f3gico Municipal San Camilo (Av. 14 e\/ 131 y 132), un espacio que ofrece un servicio gratuito y de excelencia desde hace m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os para los vecinos y vecinas de la ciudad. Es as\u00ed que, en el marco del D\u00eda Mundial de los Pacientes Trasplantados, su plantel profesional subraya la importancia de generar conciencia y promover la donaci\u00f3n.<\/strong>
Al respecto, el oftalm\u00f3logo Leonardo Ferlini (M.P. 230.983) expres\u00f3: \u201cHaber hecho 48 trasplantes de c\u00f3rnea significa que 48 personas vieron sus vidas transformadas. Por eso, animamos a los vecinos y vecinas a que se sumen a ser donantes, pero tambi\u00e9n a que vengan a hacerse sus chequeos\u201d.
Adem\u00e1s, destac\u00f3: \u201cGracias a la gesti\u00f3n en salud p\u00fablica que viene realizando el intendente Juan Jos\u00e9 Mussi, hemos incorporado m\u00e1s tecnolog\u00eda y personal m\u00e9dico. De esta manera, ampliamos la capacidad de atenci\u00f3n\u201d.
En total, m\u00e1s de 7 mil pacientes son atendidos mensualmente, en forma gratuita, por profesionales. En este espacio -dependiente de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud P\u00fablica e Higiene municipal- se realizan trasplantes de c\u00f3rnea, adem\u00e1s de cirug\u00edas de cataratas y vitreoretinales (vitrectom\u00eda, maculopat\u00edas, retinopat\u00eda diab\u00e9tica y desprendimiento de retina). Asimismo, el Centro lleva adelante campa\u00f1as de concientizaci\u00f3n para prevenir da\u00f1os oculares.

– Pacientes de PAMI, adultos y ni\u00f1os con historia cl\u00ednica abierta: de lunes a viernes de 8.30 a 11.30; o lunes y jueves de 16.00 a 18.00.- Primera consulta, ni\u00f1os y adultos sin obra social: mi\u00e9rcoles y viernes, de 16.00 a 18.00.
